Groveland's Town Meeting Study Committee dissolves after finalizing a report backing electronic voting and shelving Saturday meetings. Chair Joe D'Amour told members the Select Board had already embraced the group's recommendations before a final report was even filed, based on a 421-response survey exceeding the roughly 400-response threshold the board wanted. Town meeting voters previously approved a $10,000 line item for electronic voting technology after Select Board member Ed Watson proposed it, though the board still must formally vote and go through competitive procurement.

The report suggests Meridia as a possible vendor. Saturday meetings were rejected in part because they would require both a bylaw change and agreement from two other towns in the regional school district. "We are the mouthpiece of the people of Groveland, not just a group of five people who want to do what they want to do," one member said.

The committee, formed June 1, 2025, voted unanimously to dissolve itself as of 6:13 p.m. May 6, 2026.
