Other Committee · Meeting of April 6, 2026
Groveland's Community Preservation Committee voted unanimously to move up its 2027 grant deadlines by a month, requiring eligibility applications by November 1 and full project applications by February 1. All 2026 project recommendations have cleared the Finance Committee and Select Board except an Affordable Housing Trust proposal the CPC sponsors, still undergoing minor technical edits. Committee Chair Mike defended the trust against a Select Board member's claim it was "being rushed through without public hearings," noting the committee has spent nearly two years and $25,000 developing it.
A member identified as Adam detailed the trust's structure, which still requires Select Board approval for most purchases but would move faster than town meeting votes. Separately, the 2025 trail enhancements project is about 10 percent complete and on budget, and the Congregational Church's bell project remains stalled pending a preservation restriction.
