Groveland Recreation Committee elects new chair, seats fifth member after years of vacancies. The board unanimously named Steve Hamm vice chair and elected Patrick Molina chair, who abstained on his own nomination as the remaining three members carried the vote. Kate Morales, appointed by the Select Board that same day, arrived mid-meeting to complete the five-member panel; member Emilio was absent after failing to connect by Wi-Fi.
Molina said Select Board member Steve Baker wants the committee's input on revamping "antiquated" field use fees, and that resident Jim Lafferty is volunteering to help build new trail kiosks under the 2025 trail enhancement project. One member called Shanahan Field "a jewel in the area" during the fees discussion. The panel also re-nominated Molina as its Community Preservation Committee representative and approved prior meeting minutes with a date correction.
