Groveland CPC recaps town meeting, advances trails
Groveland's Community Preservation Committee saw every CPC town meeting article pass except a $32,000 acknowledgement-signage appropriation.
Other Committee · Meeting of May 18, 2026
Groveland's Community Preservation Committee saw every CPC town meeting article pass except a $32,000 acknowledgement-signage appropriation. The Select Board pulled a planned affordable housing trust article from the warrant to consult first with the Massachusetts Housing Partnership; the committee intends to refile the trust with funding next year, since "if the affordable housing trust doesn't pass, then obviously funding it won't pass." Committee member Patrick reported roughly 25 trail markers placed along the Center Street Greenway, with the first of six planned kiosks nearing completion and a bridge linking the rail trail to Center Street eyed for late summer. Total CPA fund balance stood at $4.5 million as of March 8, including about $1.08 million for affordable housing.
The board opened a public seat to outside applicants, with applications due June 8 and its next meeting moved to June 15.
