Other Committee · Meeting of June 29, 2026
Groveland's Community Preservation Committee recommends Larry McKelleny for its open public seat and floats three 2027 projects. Lawrence "Larry" McKelleny, a longtime Council on Aging volunteer, was unanimously recommended for a three-year term representing open space, pending Select Board appointment. Recreation Committee member Michelle pitched an ADA-compliant walkway around the Pines Recreation Area after struggling to push a stroller anywhere but the parking lot, while members floated opening river access near Shanahan Field and a small park at Rollins Common.
Member Mike warned any river-adjacent work needs a conservation permit within 200 feet of the Merrimack. Member Leah said she wants to explore income-restricted elder housing, citing $3,200-a-month market rents locally. The committee approved its April 6 and May 18 minutes and set its next meeting for July 27, skipping August.
