Library · Meeting of April 8, 2026

Groveland library trustees commit $4,409.65 to summer programs across three votes. The board unanimously approved $1,025 from state aid for adult programming pitched by staff member Sue, then split a children's programming request from staff member Evangeline between $1,350 from the Langley Adams Trust for RoboThink robotics sessions and $2,034.65 from state aid for the rest, the latter passing 6-0 after trustee Lindsay's video connection dropped mid-vote. Library Director Darcy, appearing by Zoom while ill, said window-replacement estimates came in lower than expected since only eco-friendly glass needs replacing, with the roof, the suspected real source of leaks, slated for fiscal year 2027.

Treasurer Laurel Plohowski reported an $853 paper loss in trust investments through April 6. Three candidates, Rachel Downey, Elizabeth Zimmerman and Plohowski, are on the May 4 ballot as trustees Bob and Lindsay depart the board.
