Groveland Planning Board Approves Three Zoning Bylaw Amendments for Town Meeting

GROVELAND — April 6, 2026 — Groveland Planning Board approves three zoning bylaw amendments in a nine-minute session. The board, meeting April 6 at the Public Safety Meeting Room, unanimously passed a revision to Article 10, Section 4 of the Groveland Zoning Bylaw that replaces the existing common driveway language with a new special permit framework allowing frontage relief for the second and third lots on a shared driveway, with a minimum of 75 feet of frontage required. A board member identified as John explained the change "creates a mechanism for frontage relief" that could make previously unbuildable lots developable. The board also corrected a March 16 oversight by removing a prohibition on recreational marijuana establishments from the Section 50.54 use table, and approved a separate terminology cleanup to the same table. All three amendments require Town Meeting approval before taking effect. The board's next meeting is scheduled for May 5 at 7 p.m.
