Select Board · Meeting of August 17, 2026

Groveland Select Board approves new two-year boat ramp fee trial, opens Council on Aging assessment. The board voted 4-0, with member Kathleen Kastrinelis absent, to approve an updated land management agreement with the Massachusetts Office of Fishing and Boating Access for the Pines Recreation Area boat ramp, adding commercial and residential daily passes while the fee equalization is expected to cost the town about $1,200 a year in revenue. "We would still be making a profit in the revolving account if there was something unforeseen," Town Administrator Rebecca said.

The board also approved a special event permit for the Groveland Historical Society's October 3 Pine Speedway Reunion and a one-day liquor license for a September 11 cornhole and pickleball tournament, contingent on receipt of bartender TIPS certification. Rebecca said she is pursuing an independent assessment of the Council on Aging ahead of a director transition expected around September 30, and detailed vacancies in the plumbing inspector, health agent and interim fire chief positions.
